Project Overview:
Sloan’s Lake Park is among several Denver parks required by the Department of Justice (DOJ) to address ADA accessibility deficiencies. Because Em Dub Design has helped the City address these issues at several parks, and due to the high priority, time sensitive nature of this project, Denver returned to our team for assistance.
Specifically at this park, accessibility findings identified two picnic pods that lacked adequate seating and grilling space. Em Dub Design assessed the current site layout and proposed efficient improvements to meet the ADA requirements in advance of the looming DOJ deadline. Our team led the City through the design process and construction documents, and assisted with contractor engagement and construction period services, successfully completing the work before the required deadline.
